I did not enjoy... I don't know how you call this dubstep... not trying to be a hater here but I honestly this song is not good... its repetitive and... its not really a song... more a bunch of sounds put together very speedily and awkwardly, it is unorganized and needs some work... the drop is a melody made with a bass... A BASS WITH A MELODYY??? the bass has some potential for dubstep... not much... and the drums are just this really boring and unchanging thing....

I'm never seen gravity falls... but I like it... uhhh...................... Mi moo wee jiii juj I or sanjfni whuafhøedfrvbeuberubejbøfrveuvfrhjøsirhierøøøøøegufurfghei!

I'm sorry, but I cant, this is terrible, now I'm not hating on you but srsly, you can do better

TheBlubberWhale responds:

I know, the sound is very low and it isn't the best, but it took a lot of work. Also, it's made on noteflight which isn't great for exporting music.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
ME LIKE COLLABING WITH U!

KamillasRainbow responds:

JAAAA DAS GUT!

eeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnuuuuuuuuuuuughggggggggggggh!
ok so... u 2 need some work... jk. it aint half bad. tho the ending is abrupt which is always a crap way to end a song.
if you are new to Fl then it can be a bit daunting and that's why imma gonna give u the benefit of the doubt...
I see a lot of harsh reviews on here that you dont deserve (I'm not saying this song is good, I'm just giving u the benefit of the doubt here). I think you have tons of potential and with some practise you could be very good. if you need help or have questions on how to music you can ask me. send me a message and ask some questions!

TheTechnoBabble responds:

Thanks man, I am new to FL, this was my first major project, and I am glad that some people here are willing to be positive. Thanks for your offer, I might just have to take you up on that. You are correct on the abrupt ending, I will definitely smooth that out in future songs . Thanks again for your positive feedback.

I rly like it! I like the vocals a lot. Build is the shit and the drop is f-ing amazing!
very well done, I wanna learn how to dubstep like this... pointers? I got the basics and I kno how to music, but I always find droping it the hardest part...

Geoplex responds:

Depends on the kind of dubstep - I've only really done dubstep myself (solo) once, as this song is a collab. I think your best bet would be to watch SeamlessR's tutorials (assuming you use FL) on how to make basses and such, and then you'll have an easier time knowing what you want to do. Honestly having an idea of what you want to end up with is probably the most important part - if the videos don't help you, maybe you could try mimicking the structure and feel of other dubstep songs you like for practice.

Thanks :)

epic song, I got some questions if you dont mind me asking them.
How did you make the filtered drums before the drop? is that just a simple filter vst or is there something else?

and, how did you structure the drop?

HOW DO U VOCALS?

I love the song tho... TRES BIEN!

Geoplex responds:

First off, thanks!

The drums are all bussed to a single channel and then lowpassed as a group. You can do this with an EQ using a high shelf or just use a filter that comes with your software - the one in FL is called the "fruity free filter" for example.

The drop is structured with saws and modulated bass, swapping between the two; but making sure I have at least one bar of each chord using the saws (so the chords are easier to hear.) If it helps at all, SeamlessR recently did a video on this topic as well I think, so it might be worth checking that out on youtube if you want help.

The vocals were done by chopping up a sample I had lying around and autotuning each clip to be a different note, and then arranging those notes. it's a great way to creatively limit yourself in melody-writing and generates fun results as well because each note has a different intonation and feel thanks to the nature of the vowels.

Thanks for the feedback, btw!

*THAT DROP THO!* *WOOP WOOP* *YAS*

there are 2 builds... which is just NEIN, ITS MADNESS
the second melody, i'm not sure if u intended that to be a bass, if so make it lower.
